The Department of Computer Application was formed in the year 2004. MCA is NAAC accredited and affiliated from C.C.S. University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Department offers MCA program since 2004 with an annual intake of 60 seats. B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science is running since 2019 with an annual intake of 60 seats affiliated from C.C.S. University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The pass percentage of the department has been between 99%-100% and more than 50% of the students obtain distinction every year, which speaks of the academic fervor in the department. MCA is a full-time degree course with duration of two years (four semesters). It covers various aspects of computational theory, programming, algorithm design & optimization, network and database management, accounting, finance, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics etc, to prepare technical personals for the current requirement of computer software industry.

Objective and Scope of B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science

B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science, a 3-year undergraduate programme is running under SCRIET in MCA department. This Programme primarily intends to serve as an input for higher degree academic programme in Computer Science and also provides rigorous foundations of the concepts of Computer Science and Information Technology, with the help of efficient and highly qualified teachers and through well-equipped computer labs. In the final year, students will also get an opportunity to do project work. Hence the combination of the concepts and training of software tools equip the students to adapt to ever-changing technology. The degree course provides good base for Master's degree & then for further research program.
