    Weightages for M.A.lM.Sc.lM.Sc. (Ag)/M. Phil.    
   


Applicants falling under categories (a), (b), (c) and (d) given below will be entitled to weightages mentioned against the same. The weightage shall be added to their marks obtained in the admission test while determining their ranks for the purpose of admission to M.A./M.Sc.lM.Sc..(Ag)/M.Phil. degree courses in the University Teaching Departments.

  1. A weightage of four marks in case of those students who participated in National/State/ Inter University games Sports/athletic meets organised by the University, he/she being the member of champion team or obtained first position in the individual event.
      
  2. A weightage of four marks to Ch.CharanSingh University graduates.
      
  3. A weightage of two marks to students who have Honour's Degree in the subject in which admission is sought in M.A./M.Sc.(Ag) courses.
      
  4. A weightage of four marks to be given to the son(s)/daughter(s)/wife/husband of the employee of Ch. Charan Singh University and its affiliated colleges.

Note:

    1. In no case the total weightage of more than eight marks will be given to a candidate. No rounding off be done while calculating percentage.
        
    2. Subject to the provisions stated above the merit of a student for admission to M.A./M.Sc./M.Sc.(Ag)/ M.Phil. shall be judged by the total marks obtained in the admission test.
        
    3. No weightage will effect the minimum eligibility conditions prescribed for admission.

    4. Applicants claiming weightage will produce a certificate in support of their claim at the time of admission.

Weightages for M.Ed.

As per the government order, following weightages are admissible but the total weightage shall not exceed 25 marks.

  1. Candidates taking part in National or state level or Inter-University games and sports competitions
   
         
   
In individual events candidate obtaining  
    I Position 15 Marks
   II Position 10 Marks
  III Position 05 Marks
 
In team events, the candidate being a member of:
  Champion team 15 Marks
  Runner team 10 Marks
  Participating team 05 Marks
     
In Inter-college tournament or games or athletic meets organised by the University, candidate:
  A member of the champion team 15 Marks
  Obtaining position in individual event 10 Marks
   
         
   

NOTE :-

  1. Candidate shall be given benefit of only one weightage under category (a) above.
  2. Certificates of participating in the National or state level games or sports competitions issued by the Government Sports Department only shall be accepted and the same are to be produced at the time of admission..
   
         
   
B. Male candidates obtaining 'C' certificates and female candidates obtaining G-2 certificates in :
  N.C.C. 15 Marks
OR
  Male candidates obtaining ‘B’ certificates and female candidates obtaining ‘G-l’ certificate in:  
     
  N.C.C. 10 Marks
OR
 

Candidates participating in N.S.S. camps and serving in NSS

15 Marks
 

Two NSS Camps and 240 h of Social Service

15 Marks
  One NSS Camp and 240 h of Social Service 10 Marks
  240 hr of Social Service only 05 Marks
OR
  Candidates getting President’s Medal in Scouts and Guides 15 Marks
  Candidates obtaining Governor’s Medal/ Nipun Certificate in Scouts and Guides/Rover/Ranger 10 Marks
  Candidates with training in GURUPAD/Praveen in Scouts and Guides/Rover/Ranger 05 Marks
   
         
   

NOTE :- Candidate will be given benefit of only one of the items mentioned (B)above.

   
   
   
C. Candidates being defence employees in active service(iii) Candidates being defence employees in active service or demobilised or retired or released or son/ unmarried daughter or wife of disabled, deceased or traceless employee. (Produce certificate in the given proforma at the time of admission).
    15 Marks
D. Candidate employed in police/B.S.F./P.A.C./S.S.B./I. T.B.P./C.R.P.F., Home Guard (the certificate of Home Guard should be counter-signed by Sr. Supdt. of Police or Supdt. of Police) or related (son or daughter) to such an employee whether in active service or retired or disabled or deceased. (Produce certificate in the given proforma at the time of admission).

E. Women candidates being widow or divorcee or abandoned women. (Produce legal certificate in given proforma at the time of admission).
F. Permanent teaching and non-teaching staff (only of approved institutions i.e. university and colleges) or his/her son/daughter/wife/ husband. (Produce certificate in given proforma at the time of admission).

NOTE:- In case of Secodary School, the certificate countersigned by the Regional Higher Education Officer/District Inspector of Schools/Basic Shiksha Adhikari/Regional Inspector of Girls Schools only will be accepted. In case of university , certificate is to be signed by Registrar, and in case of colleges, certificate is to be signed by the Principal.
